These resources are available for teachers of ESS to use and to modify. Unfortunately, we do not offer access to these resources to students.
If you wish to have access to the Google Drive folder of ESS resources please complete a current membership form. We will give you access and also put you into our database so that you will receive up-to-date news.

Accessing our resources
The way ESSENZ is sharing our resources is changing. Our resources are, and will remain, free to access for New Zealand teachers and educators, but managing all the share requests is taking up too much time. We’ve also found it difficult to verify whether students are accessing our teaching resources.
From 1st February 2026, you will need to fill out an ESSENZ 2026 Membership Form to be able to access our resources.
Once you have filled out the membership form and confirmed you are a New Zealand teacher or educator, we will give you access to the Google Drives below. We’ll get to processing your request within a couple of days.
ESS Resources
For all of our most recent and up-to-date slideshows, teaching resources, videos, unit outlines, assessment tasks and exemplars of student work. This drive is for teachers and educators only, not for students.
ESS Scholarship
This drive is for all of our scholarship resources. Both teachers and students can get access to this drive.
ESS Exams for Members
Every year, we publish exams that can be used for derived grades. Members will have access to this year’s exams and marking schedules once they become available, as well as those from previous years. Please remember, the current year’s exams are embargoed until the start of Term 4 - please don’t share schedules with students until then.
We also have a lot of historical resources and our AGM minutes and past NCEA exams on the ESSENZ drive, which is always publicly available.
